Need tips for casino play? Video Poker and Slots?

me and my mother went to St. Louis boat this past weekend .. my first Once in a casino .. that were only there for about 2 hours .. I put out $ 20 and $ 60 to .. mother has not won anything .. but I wondering if theres any tips or tricks about playing the machines in the drawer .. I won the money playing Deuces Wild poker machines and got a 5 type .. mother liked to play slots .. and I won $ 40 in a slot machine, but thats it .. are more likely to come out a winner in the slot machines or video poker? opinions? advice?

Putting the machines near the exit to lose? Why do so. If people can not see someone winning are less likely to play. As I heard playing near the corridors and entries is good, because when people walk by to pay compensation if they see are more tempted to play. But really your best bet is to play poker (real, not video or one of these versions Caribean Stud) Poker is the only game that you play against the house. the house has a rake in general and play for money from other players.
